Originally a toll house back in the 16th Century, The Ivy House is one of the oldest buildings in Tonbridge with all the charachter you would expect of an old fashioned Kentish Inn, oak beams, an open log fire and beautiful decor bring out hundreds of years of history.
This building, a favourite pub & restaurant all rolled into one holds a hidden secret - an exquisite freshly prepared menu designed to tempt anyone looking for a great dining experience, Owner Dan Ward and his experienced team of chefs and front of house have taken this Historical Pub to the top of the dining and social scene in Tonbridge.
We (Dan & Polly) started out in 2009 as a fine dining gastro pub with the help of Michelin starred chef John Burton-Race. News about the quality of our great food spread quickly and we were nominated as finalists at The Kent Restaurant awards 2010.
Our pub/restaurant is now less formal and offers a greater range of choice, but our goal remains to offer our customers a great meal at a reasonable price. That does not mean, however, that we compromise quality to do so. On the contrary: We guarantee the freshness of our ingredients and prepare everything in house. We are a family restaurant with a tradition in food excellence.
We are dedicated to preserving a fantastic dining tradition. Our food and drink is an extension of our passion for catering & hospitality, we look forward to welcoming you to as Dan says "my baby!"
Whether you are looking for a romantic meal, special occasion, quick lunch or a catch up with friends over a drink, The Ivy House has it all...
